What to do if you spot grafitti

In recent decades, graffiti has become extensive problem in parts of the UK. It’s a term that’s used to describe the wide range of markings, etchings and paintings that deface public or private property.

Although graffiti offenders may view their design with pride, it’s actually an act of vandalism that costs a lot of money to clean up. And the trouble is, it has a cumulative effect – leave graffiti on a wall, and others will follow. That’s why it’s important to act quickly.

If you spot graffiti on your estate, please advise our Resident Services team immediately on 01462 683307. If it’s on our property, we’ll remove it quickly – within one working day if it’s abusive or racist. For graffiti that’s not on our property, we’ll report it to the local council and ask them to remove it (or you can contact them direct).
