Our Scheme Managers - happy to help
Our Scheme Managers (L-R) Nina Howard-Kelly, Laura Mills, Sue Williams, Tracey Maynard and Siobhan Wilsher.
Unlike many other housing associations we remain committeed to providing our Scheme Manager service and the 24 hour Piper Lifeline system because we appreciate that many residents chose to join our sheltered independent living schemes because of them.
Scheme Managers are available to residents in the working week during office hours and can respond immediatly to emergencies.
We have expanded our Scheme Managers' role beyond housing management to include running our four Kingfisher Clubs for those with low and moderate dementia, coordinating 'meet and eat' lunches for residents and also arranging popular health and wellbeing activities that take place at each scheme.
The Scheme Managers spend time out and about too, visiting local people who are older or living with a disability and inviting them to access the wonderful activities going on in our schemes.
Scheme Managers can offer practical support to both sheltered and community residents in many ways:
• Applying for benefits
• Completing forms
• Managing debt
• Understanding letters from utility companies
• Paying bills
• Arranging social events in the scheme
• Organising days out
• Taking part in activities like flower arranging, photography and IT courses
• Reporting repairs
• Rent and tenancy issues
• Liaising with other agencies
• Arranging services such as Herts Community Meals or Home Care, if you need them.
Our Scheme Managers care greatly about the health and wellbeing of residents and will support residents wherever possible - its a service that makes us stand out from the crowd.
